Common questions

How do I pair with someone?

Open With and choose your name. You'll get a 6-character code. Share it with the person you want to pair with — they enter it in their app under "Pair with someone." Once they confirm, you're connected.

I sent a mood but my partner doesn't see it on their lock screen.

Make sure they've added the With widget to their lock screen: long-press the lock screen → Customize → Add Widgets → search "With." Notifications also need to be enabled in iOS Settings → Notifications → With.

What does Premium include?

Premium ($6.99 — paid once, yours forever) unlocks 88+ moods including Tender, Morning, Mend, Lift, Plans, Apart, Grace, and Late Night categories, plus the ability to write your own custom phrases with any emoji.

How do I restore my Premium purchase on a new device?

Open the app, tap the menu (•••) → Get Premium → "Restore Purchase." As long as you're signed in with the same Apple ID, your purchase will restore.

Can I pair with more than one person?

No. With is designed for one connection — yours. If you want to pair with someone new, you'll need to disconnect first (menu → Disconnect).

Does With work without an Apple ID / iCloud?

No. With uses iCloud (CloudKit) to sync between you and your partner. You'll need to be signed in to iCloud on your device. We don't have our own servers — all syncing happens through your Apple account.

The widget shows an old mood. What do I do?

Open the With app — it will refresh and the widget will update within a few seconds. iOS sometimes throttles widget updates to save battery; this usually resolves on its own.

How do I change my name?

Menu (•••) → Change my name. Type the new name and save. Your partner will see the new name on the next mood you send.

How do I delete my data?

Delete the app from your phone. All locally stored data is removed. The CloudKit records on your iCloud account can be cleared by signing out and back into iCloud, or by managing With under Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → Manage Storage.
